• WELCOME

    “But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”

    1 Timothy 1:5

  • Part 2: With God All Things Are Possible

    Salvation is preceded by a certain decision against one’s flesh (the “old sin nature”, the wellspring of sin in each of us) and towards Jesus Christ, as Savior.

  • Part 6 - Introduction - Why Are the Apostles So Encouraging?

    On the supreme judicial scale of God, righteousness is the only thing with any mass to it. Man is incapable of bestowing righteousness to himself, it is a gift from God, both through imputation at salvation and impartation during sanctification. In all cases, God adds righteousness to His own scales on man's behalf (Pr 16:8-11). Gloria in excelsis Deo ("Glory to God in the highest").

  • Part 2: Perspective - It's a Privilege To Serve the Lord

    Serving the Lord, and by extension serving others, can often be done with a skewed perspective or motivation; i.e., do we serve out of love, or are we motivated by some fleshly reason (such as guilt, obligation, approval, or finances)?

Not Far From Love

In our disfavor of evil groups, our thoughts often become misguided regarding individuals within each group, leaving no place for mercy or understanding.

Part 52: Why Are the Apostles So Encouraging? By Grace They Were Prepared

Weaknesses are good because they cause us to turn to the Lord, to rely on Him and His power and grace, rather than our own. Is that not divinely good??! Isn't it good to be "helped" in getting out of the way??! So thanks to God is in order! Thus, we embrace our weaknesses.

The most impersonal thing someone can do to you is to “make it personal” through attack.

  • Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

  • Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
    Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;

  • "Teach me your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you." - Psalm 86:11 (NLT)

  • "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses." (2 Co 10:3-4)
