• WELCOME

“But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”

    1 Timothy 1:5

  • KIDS' CORNER: Mercy

Jonah said “no” and ran away from the plan. He lacked mercy and, in effect, went “AWOL” on the plan of God, just like today’s verse describes.

  • Part 7: When Subjectivity Becomes the Culturally Accepted Norm

An arrogant person never asks “what do you need?” in a vacuum. There’s always a pre- or post-analysis that includes, often silently, “…and what’s in it for me?”

  • Character and Integrity

In the purest sense, trust is the fruit of good character and integrity.

Being Really Honest With God

Jonah never fails to make me ponder honesty and transparency before the Lord. You can say what you want about him, but Jonah doesn’t hide his emotions from God. In fact, he puts them on full display, acting out his unholy malcontent. Have you ever done that? Have you ever pouted like Jonah before the Lord?...

  • "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it" (Matthew 7:13-14).

  • “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth" (John 17:17).

  • Failure is GUARANTEED...if you quit...so don't!

  • "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones" (Proverbs 3:7-8).

  • We ought to pray for and submit to the authorities in our lives- including the President, our pastors, our bosses, our teachers, our husband, and our parents- for God is the One who gave them their authority and it is His will for you to do so (Romans 13:1-7, Ephesians 5:22-23; 6:-51, 1 Timothy 2:2).
