• WELCOME

“But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”

    1 Timothy 1:5

  • Part 2: What Is Good? And Who Gets To Define It?

It is very sobering to analyze our own definitions for “good”. We might quickly realize that what we think and even act upon as “good” really isn’t. A good litmus test is to observe what we esteem/celebrate in ourselves/others.

  • Part 4: Beware Where You Turn

Where is your heart regarding saving money? Is your heart hooked on it, for fear of not having enough one day??? The issue is what your heart is trusting in: in possessions or in the Lord!

  • Part 9: What Is Good? And Who Gets To Define It?

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is already seasoned enough; we do not have to “spice it up” in order to perform our evangelistic duties as unto the Lord. When we do such things, we are thwarting the pristine nature of it! (ref:  Dt 4:2)

Part 4: "Peace Be With You!"

Reconciliation means we now have peace with God through His Son. We have this peace because God, by grace, has made us righteous by His blood! 2Co 5:17-21

The Last Five Percent

There are a thousand and one excuses as to why a person cannot complete their labor. But as the apostle Paul said, it’s not about human will power, it’s about faith - faith in a purpose that transcends human rationalism, objectives, and hope. To those with faith go the crowns.

The Great Chowder Cook-Off

While all of this makes perfect sense, it makes no sense, whatsoever, when it comes to “cooking the Gospel”. There’s no such analog to The Great Chowder Cook-Off when it comes to spreading the Gospel. Man’s competitive flesh will tell you there is, but there’s no place for competition in evangelism...

I'm Exhausted. Where's the Spirit?

Have you ever returned home from a long day and literally sunk into your favorite chair? Have you ever gotten into bed and you’re so exhausted, feeling so pressed down and heavy, that it feels like the line between you and your mattress becomes blurred? Do you wish you had more strength, stamina, power? Have you ever wondered about the power of the Holy Spirit the Bible speaks so profusely about?...

Daily Perspective

  • It's not a pastor's job to solve your problems; rather, it's his job to lead you back to Christ, whose Spirit is able to powerfully solve all problems, beginning with salvation.

  • The Golden Rule:  “Treat others the same way you want them to treat you" (Luke 6:31).

  • “Treat others the same way you want them to treat you." (Luke 6:31)

  • Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? - Luke 6:46

  • Profession is not confession.

  • Familiarity breeds contempt. Guard yourself against the temptation to take things for granted. Learn to appreciate all aspects of God's grace!
