OUTLINE:

The Supernatural Bible
The Bible is the only supernatural book we have. God’s intention is that we read/hear His Word in a way that lies beyond natural human experiences. (Eph 1:17-19; 2Co 3:18; Jn 15:10-11; Ro 8:10-17)

The Whole Truth
The good news includes that there is no mystery regarding Jesus Christ and His Gospel. The truth has already been set before mankind (Jn 1:14) - He walked in the flesh, spoke His truth, and was quite clear about all of it (e.g., repentance and saving faith).

MacDonald On Jn 15
Someone has pointed out that as “branches", we receive (v5); as disciples, we “follow” (v8); and as “friends", we commune (v15).

Friends and Bond-Servants
While we rejoice in our “friendly” relationship with God, having been reconciled, we ought never forget that we have been purchased with a price, namely, Christ’s own blood (Gal 1:10), being made “bond-servants” (Ac 20:28).

“in humility receive the word implanted”
First and foremost is salvation. James’ desire was consistent with God’s (1Ti 2:4), as opposed to Satan’s desire (2Ti 3:1-7). Beyond salvation is the fruit of it (e.g., Gal 5:22-23), something every pastor wants for those in his church.
