It's when our hearts are right with God that we can be most useful to Him and live as the salt of the earth God intended us to be.

These gracious kinds of words are sweet as honey because they do not seek strife, but just the opposite. THEY ARE A CALL TO LOVE.

In our practical experience, it's usually the person who thinks before they speak, often lovingly taking their time, that comes out with sweet, yet truthful, words for our souls.

Mt 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

The Hebrew means excellent speech, as in "overhanging", an "excess"; as in extra good language that someone can grab onto (a small rope, as hanging free).

Speak the Truth in Love!
We are capable of so many things through the power of God; and sometimes it's the fine speech of others that helps us step out by faith and do great things for God (things we had no business in doing or succeeding at on our own). There's the power of truly encouraging words!!
