Do you think there’s a direct relationship between our respect for God’s glory and our Gospel?

God’s Glorious Immutability
When God described Himself to Moses as “I AM WHO I AM,” He was essentially describing His own character. He is, after all, both eternal and self-existent. Therefore, His Word certainly is immutable (cp. Jn 1:14 with Heb 13:8)

God’s Will Isn’t Up for Debate
Satanic temptation begs us to challenge God at His Word, enticing us to find “loopholes” in the Bible in order to “lawyer” our way into or out of the demands of our fleshly will. If we give in to this temptation, we are flagrantly disrespecting God, taking pot shots at His glory.

What’s Fair?
We all end up in Hell <-- that’s fair, according to God’s justice. End of discussion. The book is closed on the subject; yet, man, in his satanic arrogance, wishes to impose his own version/definition of “fairness” on God (he wills to put God on trial, as if man were sovereign).

God ordains the evil of man to His own glory, ultimately.

Gen 50:20
As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.

To God’s Glory
While man conjures up evil as a result of trying to glorify himself, God sovereignly allows it but controls every outcome to His glory, ultimately (even when we can’t understand how).

Psa 8:4
what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

Know Your Place
God is holy…we are sinners.
God is sovereign…we are slaves.
God is glorious…we are nothing without Christ.

To God Be the Glory

To slight God’s glory is to slight one’s own sanctification, for you cannot be sanctified in the absence of respect for His glory. (Ps 24:7-10; 1Co 2:8; 1Pe 4:14; 2Pe 1:17)

Psa 8:4
what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? [humility in a nutshell]
