OUTLINE:

“we overwhelmingly conquer”
from hupernikao [huper = “hyper, beyond + nikao = “overcome, conquer”] - to be more than a conquerer, as a result of supernatural forces; where we get “hyper” or “super” in English

There is no such thing as peace outside of the grace of God.

We must be fully dependent on the Word and the Spirit.

Lk 17:5
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

Ro 10:17
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Never “Sell” the Gospel
We can never talk a person into believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Give the Gospel with your own personality - be real. This world is full enough of phonies, including false prophets. (e.g., 2Pe 2)

“peddling”
from kapeleuo - means to sell for profit, to make trade of

Never “Sell” the Gospel
We cannot “sell” someone the Gospel, for that is nothing more than man supposing he can do something God apparently cannot do (in their minds), which is, frankly, lunacy.

Never “Sell” the Gospel
Jn 6:44a “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; Therefore, NO amount of salesmanship will ever do what God isn’t willing to do. There are no shortcuts to conversion.

There Are No Shortcuts
Sanctification relies upon the mixture of the Word, the Spirit, and life itself in order to function. God has deemed that there is no substitute for experience, for even His Son was required to live as a human (Php 2:7-8; Heb 4:15).

Jesus Shares His Own Joy
Jesus wanted His disciples to enjoy the supernatural joy that comes with dependence on Him. Jesus wanted to share His joy with those He loved.

Do Not Despair
Jesus understood firsthand what alienation from earthly families (Jn 7:5) and communities was like (Mk 6:4). He warned His disciples of such things for themselves, also (Mt 10:35-37).

We Love Like the God-Man
What we do as believers is the proof of, or evidence of, who/what we love. If we love the Lord, it is evidenced by the fact that we live for Him and His sheep. Sound familiar?
