OUTLINE:

Commands require faith for obedience to have its intended result.

Heb 11:8
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

Gen 12:1,4
Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you...So Abram went, as the LORD had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy- five years old when he departed from Haran.

Fear and Faith
Blog: 9/11/20

If God is for us, who can be against us?
Also translated, “Since God is for us...” We find our sense of security in those we believe are the most powerful. ’Tis why we tend to orient (out of fear) towards submitting to perceived power, regardless if it’s godly or not. If we righteously fear God’s power, then we are ever-secure!

Integrity With God
God’s the Person who watches how we do all the little things, not just the so- called “big stuff”.

Mt 25:21
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

The Little Things
They say ‘Integrity is doing the right thing when no one’s watching.’ Well, God’s always watching and, according to Holy Scripture, He’s particularly gracious to those who are faithful in the “little things” (Mt 25:21; Lk 16:10).

Good Actors
Hollywood isn’t the only source of actors. Look around you - they are everywhere, and some of the most gifted thespians are Christians.

When You Can’t Claim Blessings
You can’t proclaim you’re blessed by something that was ill-gotten.

2Ti 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

“I have kept the faith”
Finishing the race might have been the “big thing,” but keeping the faith along the way was comprised of all the “little things.”

Helen Annis Casterline
I go on not knowing—
I would not if I might,
I’d rather walk in the dark with God
Than walk alone in the light; I’d rather walk by faith with Him
Than to walk alone by sight.

Keep It Simple
Instead of living a double-life, where the “big things” are inconsistent with the “little things,” keep it simple by maintaining integrity to the Word of God, where both of these align righteously.

Don’t lie. Don’t live a lie. Live honestly and with integrity to Truth.

You will make your longest strides while on your knees!

A person’s nature is revealed by the type of advice he accepts.

We have confidence in the things we fear the most.

Spiritual Health and Confidence
Fear is among the greatest indicators of spiritual health that we’ve got! Fear produces confidence. Confidence in the Lord is a very good thing.
