OUTLINE:

Safe Harbor
The safest, calmest, most protected state of being for a child of God is at port, anchored inside the harbor, away from the stormy seas (aka life). If you want stability in your life, then you need to stay as close as possible, at all times, to God’s Word.

It’s Summertime – YAY!
- Have you been reading your Bible daily?
- Have you been reading the blogs when they come out?
- Have you been taking in every message from this pulpit?
- Have you been taking time to pray/fellowship with God alone?

Recognizing Christ’s Love
Protective love is sacrificial love. Christ loved when His expression was unpopular. For example, He spoke more about Hell (in the Bible) than Heaven because He was trying to protect people from it. The Gospel may be offensive, but it is meant to save, which is fundamentally a protective act.

Isa 55:10-11 [Amplified]
So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me void (useless, without result), Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

You’re Emotions Aren’t Your Life

When your emotions define your life, you have no lasting peace.

People Are Slow Learners
I’m not sure I’ve ever met a person who hasn’t learned most things the hard way. They may faithfully read their Bibles, and STILL, they insist on “riding that bicycle” before they’re ready (if they ever are)!
