OUTLINE:

Righteousness Implies Being Right - Blog: 2/26/21
Once a person understands their depravity, they are set free from the charade of maintaining self-righteousness. In fact, this is why a humble person gladly throws up their arms and asks for deliverance from their Creator, out of fear and respect for Him (ala Pr 1:7).

Disobedience implies the wrath of God (Jn 3:36).

Proclamation never constitutes obedience. Action does.

The Simplicity of Salvation
Not only is the Gospel easy to understand/digest, but it is also tied to a command to believe it by the One with exclusive rights on salvation, its intended result!

Ac 16:31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Abiding...
Jn 15:10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.
- AND -
Jn 14:15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

Maximum glory to God is the result of His love being present in a family.

Proclamation never constitutes obedience. Action does.

No Substitutes
Since there is no substitute for God, then it follows that there is no substitute for obedience to Him.
