OUTLINE

Walk in the Light!
May we never lose sight of the big picture regarding the Lord’s salvation, and may we never surrender our gratitude to the pressures of this world!

Charles Spurgeon
"Do you believe that your sins are forgiven, and that Christ has made a full atonement for them? Then what a joyful Christian you ought to be! How you should live above the common trials and troubles of the world! Since sin is forgiven, can it matter what happens to you now?"

Walk in the Light!
May we never lose sight of the big picture regarding the Lord’s salvation, and may we never surrender our gratitude to the pressures of this world!

“Rejoice in the LORD!” (Php 4:4)
Allow the power and kindness of God to overwhelm your soul with gratitude. He is good to those who seek Him!

"Fine Speech" - Pr 17:7
As believers in Christ, we are to act with dignity, humility, and even nobility...... as a prince, not as a fool. And this begins with our speech because it directly affects others, and it reflects on our Lord!

Love for the Lord
If our motivation is not right in our hearts, our actions will not come out right.

Ps 103:8-12 NLT
The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.  He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever.  He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

Alone Time With God
When we rest alone with the Lord, we would do well just to dwell on His steadfast love and mercy towards us. He loves us, my friends!

Pr 22:4
The reward for humility and fear of the LORD is riches and honor and life.

God's Steadfast Love and Faithfulness
If we run the race with humility and fear for the Lord (ala Pr 22:4), we will not be disqualified (ala 1Co 9:27), but the Lord will take care of us in every way (ala Ro 8:28), and in HIS timing, don't forget.

Fine Speech!
There's nothing like the pure wisdom of the Word of God! All we've got to do is keep reading!! :)

“fine speech” – yether saphah
The Hebrew means excellent speech, as in "overhanging", an "excess"; as in extra good language that someone can grab onto (a small rope, as hanging free).

William MacDonald on Jn 1:14
The Savior was full of grace and truth. On the one hand, full of undeserved kindness for others, He was also completely honest and upright, and He never excused sin or approved evil. To be completely gracious and at the same time completely righteous is something that only God can be.

Think of the Power of Our Words!
Gracious words can actually affect both the soul and the body’s health! Pr 16:24 Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.

"Seasoned With Salt"
Think of how much salt makes plain food taste better. Seasoned words will be much more readily received, as we speak the truth in love.

Think of the Power of Our Words!
We must pause for a moment with people and make sure they realize we care about them and their future... and by grace, this loosens the soil of their heart to receive the Gospel in humility.

"Seasoned With Salt"
Salt is one of God's natural preservatives. In a spiritual sense, having gracious speech can help keep the soul of others from spoiling.

"Seasoned With Salt"
Although our language should always be gracious, it should be equally honest and without hypocrisy.
