OUTLINE:

Ps 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

The Immutable Word of God
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Jesus Christ IS the Word (In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…- Jn 1:1,14)

To fear the Lord is tantamount to fearing His Word.

Php 2:12
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,

Godly Perspective
Reverent fear and respect for the Lord is the proper, humble attitude to hold onto in this life, even as the "beloved", as we pursue the wisdom of knowing our great God and Savior. Job 28:28, Lk 6:46, Php 2:12

YOU are NOT the hand - you are the INSTRUMENT God uses to His glory.

Ro 9:15-16
For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.

God’s Stronghold on His Elect
Just knowing that God has chosen you and NOTHING could possibly ever tear you away from Him ought to be THE most encouraging truth of all regarding salvation!!!

Being Born Again
According to Jesus, being born again is a supernatural act of God the Holy Spirit as part of God’s salvific plan. No one will ever see or enter the Kingdom of God unless they are born again. (Jn 3:1-15)

Jn 8:31-32
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Perspective
Any assertion that God’s will is submissive to man’s is evil. To function in evil is to abide in the sphere of unrighteousness (aka, to be a “slave of unrighteousness” – ala Ro 6). This places a person in bondage to their so-called “Free Will” (a will that supposes such a thing).

Teshuqah
The human flesh desires nothing more than to be superior, even to God. This is the root cause of all sin.

Mt 10:16
“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”

Ro 1:1
Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God [“of God” means this is HIS salvific plan, not man’s!]

Is 14:14
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’

Pr 19:21
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand
